2017/03/23: Server Upgrade - Stage 3.1 -> 3.2
Stage 3.1 of the upgrade is officially complete: data transfer to another hard drive (this was unprecendented, as the old RAID recently started having problems). Stage 3.2 is the (actual) hard drive RAID storage replacement.
Ten years of being online since May 22, 2003, having this website working on IPv6 is an accomplishment! - Ami Sapphire, 2013/12/27
NOTE: The website addresses are likely temporary and may change on May 2014. If so, the original m3ta will be IPv4 facing, and the IPv6 facing address will be ipv6-cwcyrix.nsupdate.info. [IPv4 support on the Internet will not die for a while...]
Network is in broken state. FTP server is online now (too lazy to fix it) [UPDATE: fixed], and IPv6 does not work. Main site works, however.
UPDATE 2014/07/29: the m3ta domain long died, but there will likely be IPv6 support again since the new modem supports it and finally got it working again after replacing a network cable... The IPv6 address above will update to another subdomain after IPv6 is confirmed to work on that address.
UPDATE 2 2014/07/29: Addresses changed. Forgot about nsupdate.info. If duckdns supported AAAA records, I would use them for IPv6. FTP server/Bitcoin node box uses a different IPv6 address, 2ipv6-cwcyrix.nsupdate.info.
UPDATE 2015/09/07: Bitcoin node was down since January 2015 and am not exactly enthused about bringing it back up. o.o Main site is mostly static aside from a few things in the backend. I am going to release some video game music rips, but will be on the RPi2 test server for now.
Why this website exists: Main reason is to share old and almost extremely obscure files and documents regarding computers and technology. Other reasons are for my personal use... and it is a mirror of my sister's webpage.
Comcast Speedtest Results in Detroit, MI (Original test)
The service is 25/5. Date is 2014/02/14 at 0331 hours. Actually stable! Unlike in 2009 (pre-DOCSIS 3.0 era).
Comcast Speedtest Results in Detroit, MI (Troubleshooting)
Another page of speedtest results. Date is 2014/03/24. Had connection lag on my laptop, yet the server was perfectly fine...?
Comcast Speedtest Results in Detroit, MI (New Modem Test)
Yet another page of speedtest results. Date is 2014/07/29. This result was after testing the Zoom 5341J modem, which replaced the Technicolor TC8305C gateway. Speed increased slightly, but on another test, the ping lowered by 10... Also IPv6 returns!
Comcast Speedtest Results in Detroit, MI (Outside Line Replacement Test)
Yet another page of speedtest results. Date is 2015/09/24. This result was after getting the tech, who replaced the old line from 2006 (when we had their cable service) with a new one. Notice: it took the IPv6 address for testing. Either they never had IPv6 at the time of the last 2014 test or my server never had it set up properly in the first place...
Comcast Speedtest Results in Detroit, MI (Upgrade to Blast!)
Yet another page of speedtest results. Date is 2016/10/13. This result was after the upgrade to Blast (75/10 overprovisioned to 90/12) from 'grandfathered' Performance (25/5 overprovosioned to 30/6). There was a newer Zoom 5345 modem that didn't take the Blast config for some reason, so the old Zoom 5341J modem is installed again.
~Skeleton Page of Files and Documents
This page lists previously unlisted files and directories that have been sitting on the server over the years. That, and stuff previously only listed on my Twitter account. The server in its original form was December 2005, but some files predate it by a few years.
The Tech Page!
It is unfinished. Some links do not work. The ones that do have html in its path. It is also in overhaul mode.
To Coinotron FRC Pool Hoppers!
This section taken from Joe's Pool chat during the aftermath of pool (or chain) hoppers/hash and dashers mining FRC in low diff and leaving when the diff soars. This is the unfortunate result of following "profitability" sites such as coinchoose and coinwarz.
FTP Archives Section
FTP archives. Consists of the following:
ftp.abit.com (archive.org and solaris17 forms)
former ftp.compaq.com (and its supplemental SoftPaqs from HP's FTP server)
former ftp.microsoft.com server; last archive date is February 3, 2015
ftp.fic.com.tw (from October 2015)
some old Turtle Beach leftover files, mainly sound card drivers and manuals; however, they were from someone else's archive I cannot remember
Roland SCD-15/SCB-55 Data Disk Images
Complete archive of data disk images containing Setup (3x disks), MIDI (1x disk), and Do-Re-Mix (1x disk). Originally supposed to be released in late March 2013, but I completely forgot (hence the zip file date discrepancy), then the site was unstable throughout until the router was replaced in December 2013.
Creative Sound Blaster AWE64 Gold Data CD and Disk Images
Archive of data images containing drivers (floppy), software (CD), install (floppy), and config manager (floppy) in English. Originally supposed to be released in early April 2013, but I completely forgot (hence the zip file date discrepancy), then the site was unstable throughout until the router was replaced in December 2013. [Update 2018/10/11: Since late May 2018, two OEM game releases from the AWE64 Gold package - Eradicator and Magic Carpet 2: The Netherworlds have been added to this directory!]
Crazy Drake (DOS) [20180812 Repack]
Repack of the Crazy Drake DOS release. Strange release, as it's an eGames release, but it likely stems from a scene release that has a timestamp of January 17, 1997.
Best of Windows Entertainment Pack (1997 Kellogg's Promo Disk Image)
This particular disk was found in mid-1999 and used extensively throughout the years. Even got the IHC header issue before I knew of proper disk storage. The disk was originally dumped in 2009/08/11 through rawwrite, and the original disk no longer works. Original OEM header for this disk is an MS-DOS 5.0 header, which is fixed. Any files that have had access date stamps are gone as well. Original release is May 23, 2018. Final release is October 10, 2018.
Lotus Write Release 2.0 Retail
The state of these disks are unfortunate. Write-enabled, used in Windows 95 and 98FE, one file was actually written to Disk 3 in January 1999... Disks were dumped in 2012/06/19 through rawwrite. Owned by the IHC issue. Original OEM header, if any, is unknown, so it is stripped out on these disk images. Any files that have had access date stamps are gone, and the data stored on Disk 3 is zeroed out using a hex editor. Original final release is May 23, 2018, second release is October 10, 2018, and final release is October 11, 2018 to confirm and fix the image for Disk 3 by using the hex byte F6 in place of hex address 00 where the old data was.
Monopoly Deluxe v1.0 (DOS Version)
Got these floppy disks from a now defunct retro game store in Canada over five years ago. These were owned by the IHC issue as well, but this time, it was not my doing. :) So, the OEM header is stripped as usual. Also, an original file was deleted on Disk 2, but I restored it using my old 486 machine and the UNDELETE command. Any access date stamps are gone (it was in 1996). Current release is October 10, 2018. There is also a patch to this version of the game: Monopoly Deluxe v1.0 to v1.5 Patch (DOS Version)
This is the original ZIP archive and filename of the patch.

cgminer 3.7.2 Binary for Windows
It has been purged from the main server, so this one will remain indefinitely. I seem to recall a few forks of this version, however...
Gaia Threads that Fail
Actually links to an index page! Unfortunately, it is unfinished. - CW Cyrix (Ami Sapphire), 2011/01/09
Had an FTP site set up a while ago; just wait until I post the rules of use.
- Spring 2009.
Down at the moment.
- Spring 2009.
Back up. Server is unstable, as I have installed a dual monitor setup with a 15-year-old card which freezes the system every few days, though.
- June 2009.
Okay. It is really up. I was just too lazy to update this section. I actually got a good video card for the server, and it has been very stable since then. That was in 2010. - January 2011
There. The FTP server is finally set up. - January 2012
Taken offline due to WinXP End of Support on April 8. FTP server was running Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 3. It is also this machine. - April 10, 2014
